Apple Tree Cottage was recommended to us by friends, we are very pleased they did! Lovely week despite the weather! We have managed a coast walk most days and had two beautiful sunny days. The cottage is cosy and has everything we have needed
A lovely week in Pembrokeshire, Apple Tree Cottage is a very comfortable home from home. It is cosy and a pleasure to come back to at the end of the day. We would love to come and stay here again sometime.
Another peaceful & relaxing week in Apple Tree Cottage. We managed a walk on the Coast Path everyday. Enjoyed eating and drinking at the sloop, weather has been lovely- perfect for walking and making the most of the beautiful views
Enjoyed our stay in Apple Tree Cottage, our first visit to Pembrokeshire. Plenty to do & had several visits to various beaches, Barafundle our favourite. The walk around Dinas head was about 3 miles and had lovely views
We have had a fantastic fortnight at Apple Tree Cottage! Such a lovely cottage, we have had many adventures including several trips to Marloes sands. Thank you so much we will be back
Thank you, we had a wonderful week at this lovely cottage. We enjoyed the beautiful walks from the cottage in all directions
We have had a thoroughly enjoyable week at Apple Tree Cottage, walking the Coastal Path & the surrounding countryside. We ate out every night with our favourite places being the Farmers Arms at Mathry, Saffron Indian restaurant in St Davids, and the Sloop Inn at Porthgain. The Spar in the petrol station at Square and Compass is well stocked for everyday supplies.
Mostly sitting outside sunshine, last day a bit wet! Visited old friends and favourite places. Very peaceful as always. Already booked for next year. Thank you for use of your splendid cottage - 2nd time this year.
Following lots of the advice in this visitors book we've explored lots of the local coastline. We liked Abereiddy, Whitesands - great for body boarding and Newgale - a bit further round but well worth it. We enjoyed the clifftop walk around Caerfai Bay, Crabbing at Porthgain and tried both The Shed (lovely fish and chips) and The Sloop (great mussels!). Still lots more to do, but we've got to go home now! Hope to come again - a really lovely cottage. Everything you might ever need and really well located. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!
A very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped cottage. We've loved peaceful evenings round the fire, listening out for the owl. From the very first astonishingly beautiful sunset, we've been gobsmacked by Pembrokeshire. The coast path is breathtaking. We surfed and bodyboarded at Whitesands and Abereiddy, had a snorkel round the Blue Lagoon (Abereiddy), biked along the cycle route up to Pwll Deri, scrambled up Garn Fawr and kayaked round the fascinating rock formations along the coast in both directions from Solva. To fuel all this, aside from Joe's Ice Cream and Welshcakes, we had a smashing brunch at The Mill in Trefin. We can now see why people keep coming back again and again to Apple Tree Cottage! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
Another excellent week for our 7th stay at ATC. Very wet on Sunday but hot and sunny for the rest of the week. We've been swimming and body boarding at Marloes, playing bowls at Newport Sands and walking along Newgale. The food in The Sloop this year was amazing, as was the Cwtch in St Davids. It has been yet another thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing week and we hope to be back again soon!
Another relaxing week in Pembrokeshire. The boys have really enjoyed it again and want to stay for longer next time. Seen beaches, family and friends!
Wall to wall sunshine this week. Fantastic base for walking which we did plenty of, despite the heat courtesy of the sea breeze - though even that was elusive. The Sloop was good - but breakfast in the garden here was better. Never been to Pembrokeshire, but will be returning without doubt. Peace, natural beauty and birdsong as well as home comforts make Apple Tree Cottage a place we would recommend to others. Thanks.
Our fourth visit to Apple Tree Cottage. Two good weeks for weather, enjoying coastal walks and beautiful places such as Upton Gardens and Colby Woodland Gardens. Highlight of this year a beautiful sunny day on Ramsey Island with wonderful coastal views, peace and natural beauty. The cottage continues to be a comfortable welcome retreat. Hope to return again next year.
We have had a wonderful week, wall to wall sunshine! Walked on the Coast Path every day. We recommend use of the Strumble Shuttle bus. The first day we took the bus to Strumble Head and walked back, about 12 miles of beautiful views, flowers, birds - its quite tough for those with joint problems though as its quite rocky. We ate at The Sloop on three nights and had good food and atmosphere, the staff are lovely. The cottage is perfect - it has everything one needs for a relaxing holiday, very well equipped, comfortable and quiet. If you like boat trips would seriously recommend the rib tour out to Grassholm to the Gannet colony, we saw loads of dolphins feeding.
We have had a lovely week at Apple Tree. The weather has been very good, apart from Monday but we bunkered down and played scrabble while the rain fell. We have walked the Coastal Paths every day, enjoyed the flowers and wonderful views. Wonderful food at Cwtch and of course the old faithful Sloop, not forgetting Cottage Caterers. We love this cottage - full of memories for us all. Thank you.
What an amazing week we have had at this wonderful cottage! We were so pleased to see the apple blossom and cherry blossom trees in full bloom when we arrived! We had no rain all the week - very sunny and warm on the Sunday - we drove to Strumble Head and walked. Then a fantastic service in St Davids Cathedral, watched the sun go down as we walked around the grounds. The beaches (especially Whitesands) and coastal walks are so pretty - beautiful scenery. Sat on beach at Nolton Haven and stopped at the pretty harbour at Solva. So many more things we could write about during our stay in this amazing part of Wales. Great to come back to my family 'roots'! Thank you so much for making us feel so comfortable in Apple Tree Cottage - and thank you for the Welshcakes too!
Sunshine at the beginning and end of the two weeks with a bit of wind and rain between. As always, we had a very good time. Folly Farm on Bank Holiday Monday was quite an experience! Giraffe with a backdrop of Welsh Hills. Archie, aged 2, loved it. He also loved the cows and the pubs! Pete proposed to Karen on the Coast Path on the way to the sloop. As she agreed we celebrated in the pub. It just goes to show how Pembrokeshire gets into your being.
Just looked in the old visitors book and saw that we have been coming to Apple Tree Cottage since 2004 so I probably don't need to say how much we love it! A fabulous week with Spring arriving at last. Lots of coast walking, saw adders on the path at St Justinians and seals in Ramsey Sound. As we were walking towards Porthclais we could hear the eerie sound of the seals in the coves on Ramsey Island. We had an excellent dinner at 'Cwtch' in St Davids, a good lunch at the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cardigan and we have used Cottage Caterers a couple of times. The Shed at Porthgain is good for fish and chips.
What a lovely relaxing time we have had here at Apple Tree Cottage. Lovely position away from it all. Cottage very well equipped and we would definatley love to come again. Toured a lot to St Justinian's, Marloes and all the headlands respectively, great walks. Skomer to rough too get to, may be next time. Tenby lovely little harbour/sea side town. Still things to do, so hope to come again.
Two relaxing weeks in this lovely area. Weather cool and dry first week, but very warm and sunny for the second week. We have seen a wide variety of wild life on various walks. Hope to return in 2012. Thank you for the use of the cottage.
A bit windy and wet the first week, sunny the second. A very nice place for lunch is the Morawelon, The Parrog, Newport it is best to book as it is very popular. Thank you once again for the use of your fantastic cottage. We have booked already for next year.
Our second visit to ATC. Lovely weather find and ideal for walking just one day on beach at Porth Meglan - smallish beach accessible from Whitesands. Strumble Head as still and peaceful as last year - seals and pups. Great beach at Caer Bwdy Bay which we walked to from Caerfai Bay. Beautiful Porth Clais is in the other direction for Caerfai.
Our 3rd visit to Apple Tree. Wonderful week with lovely weather. We had several visits to the beach (Treath Llyn Abermawr)did parts of coast path and saw seals and baby seals around Ramsey Island. Cottage lovely as ever. Many Thanks.
Had a wonderful 2 weeks holiday. The location is excellent the cottage is very good, had everything we needed. The weather was better than we expected for Wales! Thank you.
A very nicely laid out cottage. Enjoyed the wild life aroung the garden. The rooks coming home to roost was great entertainment in the evening. The walks around the coast were great with stunning views. Had a great evening in the local pub with live entertainment.
Our fifth visit to the ever delightful Apple Tree Cottage and what a fantastic 2 weeks it has been! We were extremely lucky with the weather during our first week. Warm sunny and dry conditions with minimal wind meant that we were able to go swimming and body boarding at least three times, as well as come away with fantastic sun tans. Many thanks to the owners of Apple Tree Cottage for another wonderful fisit - we hope to be back next year.
Our second visit to Apple Tree Cottage and it was just as good as last year. Thank you for a god welcome to a beautifully clean cottage. We have enjoyed showing our son, his wife and our grandson all the sights we have come to love over many visits to Trefin and the surrounding area. We will return.
Beautiful, comfortable cottage! Have had a quiet, restful week here in Pembrokeshire. Visited may places despite the weather being so changeable. Have enjoyed some lovely meals at the Farmers Inn, St Davids, The Sloop and The Shed Porthgain.
We've thoroughly enjoyed staying here - have enjoyed quietness (particularly on roads)Coastal path between Abereiddy and Porthgain superb - despite getting drenched along the way - and had superb crab sandwiches a the Sloop Inn before doing return walk. A very relaxing week in Pembrokeshire - I'm sure we will return.
Fantastic walks, stunning scenery
Our third stay in Appletree Cottage, and it keeps getting better each time. We've had a lovely relaxing time.
Our third stay in this lovely cottage, and it will not be our last
Two great weeks of weather and walking. First stay at Appletree, could not wish for a better cottage for this section of the coast.
Great place to unwind, lovely cottage with all you need, and in a very quiet position.
Relaxing holiday in a very comfortable cottage, going back recharged
We've had a lovely week at the cottage, or our second home as we call it.Worryingly this is our 30th visit!. My 'little' brother was in a cot when we first came here - now he's over 6ft tall.
Fantastic first visit to Appletree Cottage. It's a lovely cottage and we'd love to return one day.
We have a great week in this beautiful and rugged part of Pembrokeshire. Appletree couldn't have been better, well equipped, comfortable, a real home from home. We have recharged our batteries.
We have spent another wonderful week in Pembrokeshire! Appletree Cottage is warm, cosy and well equipped. The wild flowers are beautiful at this time of year.
Excellent holiday rental, best we have ever had in the U.K.Peaceful setting and well placed for visits to the finest parts of Pembrokeshire Coast. Wildlife sightings add a special something.

An excellent holiday with some wonderful walks on the coast path. We are very happy with the cottage, it is very pretty, clean and definitely the best equipped for cooking of any cottage we have stayed in.
Return to Apple Tree Cottage. As wonderful as before! weather was excellent. Thank you.
