Stay Green On Holiday

Its not about being seen to be green is about delivering.  In Wales we have a green dragon scheme that as a company we hold. The Green Dragon Environmental Standard® is the official name of the standard that you will have achieved if your EMS is inspected independently by an Inspection Body and you “pass” the inspection.

But we wanted more.  60,000 visitors per year come to Pembrokeshire through Coastal Cottages and we should all do our bit.  We wanted to offset carbon, invest into research projects along the coastline, create an environmental scheme and generally get out there and leave Pembrokeshire a little tidier and healthier every year.

We are currently talking and inviting groups to the office to discuss what they are doing and how they are doing it.  We will then invest our monies into what we believe are the most viable and worthwhile.


What do we ask of you? Just £2.

The figure is based on the average carbon offset for an average visitor.  We envisage that we should be able to raise in the region of £15 - £20k per year for local environmental projects.

Our fundamental objectives are:

To understand the current state of our coastline
Protect wildlife and the coastline
Develop pride and a positive attitude to Pembrokeshire
